Woman killed in vehicle-pedestrian accident by Fort Smith police
A tragic incident in Fort Smith resulted in the loss of a young woman's life following a collision earlier this month. According to a recently filed fatal crash report from Fort Smith Police Department, a vehicle-pedestrian accident occurred at the intersection of Towson Avenue and South O Street. The report indicated that a Chevrolet car traveling south on Towson Avenue hit a bicyclist, identified as 19-year-old Sydney Owens, who did not survive the impact. The incident took place at around 5:58 a.m. on April 1 under clear and dry conditions. The authorities have already informed the next of kin.
