Woman killed in two-vehicle crash in Fairfax County
FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- A woman died and a driver and passengers were hurt in a crash that happened in Lorton on Wednesday afternoon, the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said. In a post made on social media shortly after 6 p.m., FCPD said two vehicles collided at the intersection of Ox Road and Davis Drive. One of the drivers, a woman, died at the scene. The second driver and passengers were being evaluated for their injuries as of 6:08 p.m. Crash Reconstruction detectives were headed to the scene in the early evening hours. Southbound Ox Road was shut down at Davis Drive. Commuters in the area were encouraged to use an alternate route.
