
Woman killed in crash on I-70 in eastern Kansas
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - The Kansas Highway Patrol has released more information on a fatal crash Tuesday west of Topeka. The crash happened on Interstate 70 in Wabaunsee County around 11:15 a.m. The KHP said a Hyundai Santa Fe was westbound on I-70 when it entered the median and continued onto the eastbound I-70 passing lane. The SUV collided with a Dodge Ram. The driver of the SUV, identified as 64-year-old Kimberly G. Terhune of Maple Hill, Kansas, was pronounced dead at the scene. The KHP report said she wasn't wearing a seatbelt. A 73-year-old man and a 75-year-old woman from Manhattan were inside the pickup. They were transported to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka with serious and minor injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts according to the KHP report. Traffic on eastbound I-70 was blocked for several hours but later reopened.
