Woman killed by daughter in Elefsina parking accident
A 71-year-old woman was killed in Elefsina, west of Athens, on Monday after being struck by a vehicle driven by her daughter while it was being parked, police said. The 44-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter following the incident, which occurred shortly after the victim had exited the car to help guide the parking maneuver. According to initial reports, the passenger door had been left open and, as the vehicle reversed, the woman became trapped between the open door and a tree, sustaining fatal injuries. Emergency services rushed her by ambulance to hospital, where doctors confirmed her death.
