Woman journeys to Colorado following family's death in fiery Grand County crash

A terrible tragedy struck a Kremmling family earlier this week, resulting in the loss of five members, including three young children. The victims were Manuel Cabral Torres, 34, his wife Andrea Banuelos Salazar, and their children aged 2, 5, and 12. The fatal crash occurred when a pickup truck veered into oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with the family's SUV in Grand County. The intense impact caused both vehicles to erupt in flames, with all five occupants of the SUV perishing at the scene. The driver of the pickup sustained critical injuries and is currently in stable condition in the ICU following airlift to a hospital. The incident is being investigated. Maria Torres Reyes, Manuel's mother, is traveling from Mexico to Colorado to say goodbye to her loved ones. The Colorado State Patrol is emphasizing the importance of staying focused while driving, warning against impairments, distractions, or speeding as common causes of such tragic accidents. They assure thorough enforcement of traffic laws. Support services have been offered to those impacted by the Grieving Members of the surviving family, as well as educational staff and students from the West Grand School District.
