
Woman from Upstate New York sentenced for deadly DUI crash
A woman in Greer, South Carolina has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for causing a fatal crash while driving under the influence in 2022. Kara Rae Reynolds, aged 32, expressed her guilty plea for felony DUI resulting in a death at the sentencing held on September 3. The incident involved a head-on collision on February 20, leading to the fatality of William Richard Ford. Reynolds was found to be driving on the wrong side of Wade Hampton Boulevard, with witnesses confirming her erratic driving. It was revealed during the plea that Reynolds had consumed alcohol before the crash, as evident by an open bottle found in her car. The investigation into the tragic accident was carried out by the Greer Police Department.
