Woman from Janesville killed in fatal crash in Dodge County
A fatal two-vehicle collision occurred in the Town of Burnett in Dodge County on Friday morning, resulting in the death of a 64-year-old woman from Janesville. The Dodge County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies responded to the crash at the intersection of County Highway I and County Highway E at approximately 11:30 a.m. The investigation revealed that the woman's SUV, traveling northbound on County Highway I, collided with a westbound dump truck driven by a 66-year-old man from Randolph. The dump truck had the right-of-way since County Highway E was not controlled by stop signs, unlike County Highway I. The Janesville woman was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner, while the dump truck driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a medical center. Various emergency response teams were involved in assisting at the crash site.
