Woman from Fort Wayne receives probation for involvement in deadly boat accident on Coldwater Lake

In Branch County, Michigan, a Fort Wayne woman has been spared prison time for her involvement in a fatal boat collision on Coldwater Lake last year. Tasha Adams, 43, received a two-year probation sentence with a suspended prison term following the death of Cory Butler, 46, from Grabill. Initially, authorities believed a 15-year-old was operating the speed boat involved in the crash that resulted in Butler's death. However, it was later discovered that the teenager's parents, Zachary Adams, 44, and Tasha Adams, were actually responsible. Tasha Adams recently pled no contest to charges of obstructing justice during the investigation, while Zachary Adams is still facing multiple charges related to the incident.
