Woman from Bangor dies in car accident near Levant store
A tragic accident near a convenience store in Levant has claimed the life of Libby Toothaker, a 28-year-old woman from Bangor, Maine. The crash occurred at the intersection of Union Street and Stetson Road East on Wednesday. Reports received by the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office indicated that a vehicle collided with a tree in front of Ollie's Market around 4:20 p.m. First responders provided immediate assistance to Toothaker, who was then taken to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. Unfortunately, Toothaker succumbed to her injuries from the crash. The Sheriff's Office Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident, with no further updates available as of Friday.
