Woman fatally shot on way to car; suspect released on bail

A suspect arrested in connection with the hit-and-run death of a woman in Hollywood had his court appearance delayed and is currently out on bail. Davontay Robins, 30, was supposed to appear in court following his arrest on July 22 for the incident that resulted in the death of Erika "Tilly" Edwards. The victim had just finished performing at a fundraiser before the tragic incident occurred on June 29. Robins is facing serious charges related to the incident, including vehicular manslaughter, hit-and-run resulting in death, and driving with a suspended license due to a previous DUI. Despite being out on bail, his arraignment has been rescheduled for October 16. The victim's husband, Kris Edwards, expressed his shock and disappointment at Robins being out on bail and the low bail amount. The suspect was arrested not far from the scene of the crime, and the investigation revealed that speed may have played a role in the accident.
