Woman facing charges after fatal collision with Forsyth County EMS ambulance, police report

A woman has been charged following a collision that resulted in the death of a 92-year-old individual, as reported by the Winston-Salem Police Department. The incident took place on March 11 at approximately 10:11 a.m. on Silas Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem. The crash involved a Jeep Cherokee and a Ford ambulance belonging to Forsyth County EMS. The passenger in the ambulance, identified as 92-year-old Omer Pope Jr., tragically passed away at the scene. Diane Langford, 52, has been charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle and failure to maintain lane control. She is set to appear in court on May 21.
