Woman dies after crash on I-95 in Brevard County; 3 children hospitalized
A woman was killed in a crash on Interstate 95 in Brevard County on Memorial Day, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.Troopers said the crash occurred in the southbound lanes of I-95, just north of Pineda Causeway near mile marker 188, in Melbourne. The crash involved a Ford F-350 and a Honda Odyssey.The driver of the Honda, identified as an adult woman, died at the scene. There were three children in the vehicle, who were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Brevard County Fire Rescue. One was an 8-month-old baby. The driver of the Ford was not transported to the hospital and remained on scene.The inside and center southbound lanes of I-95 are currently blocked. The outside lane is now open.This crash remains under investigation.
