Woman arrested for involvement in fatal hit-and-run of Netflix star
A 32-year-old woman from Virginia, Amanda Kempton, was taken into custody for her involvement in the tragic hit-and-run incident that resulted in the passing of Sara Burack, a 40-year-old real estate agent and former star on Netflix. The Southampton Town Police Department announced Kempton's arrest and charge of leaving the scene of the fatal accident in New York on June 20. Following her plea of not guilty, Kempton was granted release on bail as reported by NBC News on June 21. The incident took place in the early hours of June 19 when Burack was discovered unconscious on Montauk Highway West in Hampton Bays. She sustained severe injuries and was later pronounced dead after being taken to Stony Brook University Hospital. Burack embarked on her real estate journey post-graduation from Franklin and Marshall College, as detailed on her LinkedIn profile. She later became a part of Nest Seekers, a prestigious residential and commercial brokerage firm, where she focused on property leasing, sales, and purchases spanning across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Additionally, in 2020, she was featured on the debut and sole season of “Million Dollar Beach House,” a show revolving around real estate agents selling upscale properties in the Hamptons.
