Woman accused in deadly West Valley car-pedestrian accident
A woman from Herriman has been accused of hitting and killing a 70-year-old man crossing the road last year and then leaving the scene. Troilyn Stacy Patricia Rascon, 52, has been charged with various offenses in connection to the incident. The collision occurred on November 17 at the intersection of 3500 South and 1950 West, resulting in the death of Dennis Camyn. Rascon was found to have methadone and hydrocodone in her system at the time of the crash. She later admitted to knowing she had hit something but was too shocked to stop. The investigation revealed that Rascon did not have a prescription for methadone and was driving without valid insurance, registration, or license.
