Winston-Salem crash leaves one dead

Winston-Salem police officers are investigating a crash that left one person dead.Officers responded to a crash on North Point Boulevard just before 10 p.m. Thursday. Investigators said a 2007 Honda was driving east on the roadway and ran into the driver's side of a 2004 Kia as it was pulling out of a driveway.WSPD said the Honda was driven by a 21-year-old and the Kia was driven by 69-year-old Daniel Hodge. Both drivers had a passenger with them.Hodge was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger an 81-year-old woman, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
