Wind turbine blade crashes into I-70, injuring one

On Monday morning in Washington County, Maryland, traffic on Interstate 70 was severely congested due to a wind turbine blade falling onto the highway. Maryland State Police responded to the incident near Exit 26 on I-70 West after a tractor-trailer carrying the blade experienced a mishap. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries reported initially, but one person later went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Traffic cameras captured the unusual event as authorities managed traffic in both directions. After several hours, crews were able to clear the lanes and reopen Interstate 70.
