Widow sues Santee Cooper over 2024 bulldozer incident

In the court filing on Monday, Bishop holds Santee Cooper accountable for the circumstances that led to Cody Jordan's death. The lawsuit sheds light on the events of that day, revealing that a defective on-board GPS system may have been a contributing factor. Jordan was operating a bulldozer when it suddenly fell into a hidden void, resulting in his untimely death. Despite a search effort, Jordan's body was found buried under coal, hours after the incident. Bishop is seeking financial compensation for negligence in the case.
