Widow in Dallas recalls husband's last phone call while trapped under burial vault at funeral home.

A woman from Dallas is recounting the heart-wrenching conversation she had with her husband just before he was tragically injured in an accident at work. Nataly Galaviz shared that her husband, 24-year-old Angel Anthony Rojas, contacted her while trapped under a heavy concrete burial vault at Restland Funeral Home, where he worked as a machine operator. Despite his dire situation, Rojas pleaded for help and comfort, expressing his desire to go home. Sadly, he later succumbed to his injuries after the vault, weighing nearly 2,000 pounds, was lifted off him by firefighters using specialized equipment. The family's attorney, Matthew Graham, plans to pursue a lawsuit alleging gross negligence against the funeral home, emphasizing the importance of seeking justice for Rojas and preventing similar tragedies from occurring in the future. Known for his dedication to his job and supporting grieving families, Rojas leaves behind a young son and was recently discussing plans to purchase a home with his wife before the accident. The incident is being investigated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), while Restland Funeral Home has not responded to inquiries for comment.
