WATCH: Deadly Clearwater ferry hit-and-run crash caught on camera
CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) -- A streaming webcam captured the moment a boat collided with a Clearwater ferry carrying 45 people, killing one and injuring several others. The crash happened at 8:43 p.m. Sunday near the Memorial Causeway Bridge. Six people were injured, according to Clearwater police. Two were air-lifted to the hospital for their injuries. "We are heartbroken for the person who lost their life, everyone who was hurt, and their families," a statement from PSTA and Clearwater Ferry read. "We deeply appreciate the dedication of the first responders and others who rushed to help Sunday night. We are cooperating with the investigation. Safety is the top priority for PSTA and the Clearwater Ferry." Police said they located the other vessel involved in the crash.
