Wake Forest basketball player ejected from vehicle in multiple-car accident

A former basketball player from Wake Forest University is currently recovering in hospital following a car crash in Franklin County, Georgia. Irene Cosby, the mother of Davin Cosby Jr. - who previously played basketball for Alabama and Wake Forest University, received support from fellow basketball mom Maria Reid, who checked on Cosby after the accident. Officials reported that 20-year-old Davin Cosby Jr. was traveling north on Interstate-85 when the crash occurred on July 13. Following the accident, Cosby underwent multiple surgeries and is now recuperating in a Georgia hospital, with his mother by his side. Although his memory of the incident is patchy, Cosby expressed gratitude to Reid for assisting his family. Despite a potentially lengthy recovery period before returning to the basketball court, Cosby's mother is seeking prayers during this challenging time. Moreover, it was noted that Davin was issued a citation by the Georgia State Patrol for his role in the crash, and a GoFundMe page has been created to support him.
