Vince McMahon, former WWE CEO, in car crash and faces reckless driving charge

Former WWE CEO and wrestling icon, Vince McMahon, was recently in a serious car accident in Connecticut. The 79-year-old crashed his Bentley into a BMW on Route 15 in Westport on July 24, then hit a guardrail. Thankfully, no major injuries were reported, but debris struck a third vehicle, a Ford Fusion. McMahon and the others involved were wearing seatbelts. McMahon has received a summons for reckless driving and following too closely, and is due in court next month. On the same day, he paid tribute to the late WWE legend Hulk Hogan, calling him the greatest WWE Superstar ever. McMahon praised Hogan as a trailblazer and global icon, saying he appreciated, respected, and loved his fans. McMahon has a prominent role in professional wrestling but has faced controversies, including stepping down as WWE chairman in 2022 amid misconduct allegations.
