Village Manager of Fox Point faces charges in deadly motorcycle crash on I-94 near Elmhurst Road in Delafield.
The village manager of Fox Point, Scott Botcher, has been accused in connection with a hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist. The incident occurred on Interstate 94 in Waukesha County last week. Botcher faces a charge of hit-and-run involving an attended vehicle, which is considered a misdemeanor with potential fines and imprisonment as penalties. The criminal complaint filed on June 27, 2025, states that the crash took place near Elmhurst Road in the Town of Delafield. Prosecutors allege that Botcher struck the motorcyclist and drove away from the scene despite briefly slowing down. Botcher was identified as a suspect through various investigative methods, including highway camera footage, phone records, and DMV records. He was questioned by a trooper at a Kwik Trip, where he initially denied hitting the motorcyclist but then later admitted to it. Botcher appeared in court on June 27 for an initial appearance, and his bond was set at $1,000. He is scheduled to return to court on August 25 for a hearing.
