Vigil held in Bay Village to honor student who passed away from lacrosse injury

The community of Bay Village in Ohio gathered together on Thursday night to mourn the passing of Dylan Veselic, a Bay High School student who tragically died after an accident during a lacrosse game. Family members, friends, teammates, and fellow community members attended a prayer service and vigil at St. Raphael Catholic Church. The service was led by Fr. Dan Schlegel, who noted that the Veselic family are active members of the church. Dylan was injured during a lacrosse game on Tuesday night, and despite being hospitalized in critical condition, he passed away on Thursday morning. The unexpected loss has deeply impacted the community, with an outpouring of support seen through flowers, Post-It notes, and lacrosse sticks left in solidarity with the Veselic family. The Bay Village City School District is offering counseling services to help both students and families cope with this heartbreaking tragedy.
