According to the California Highway Patrol, a DUI crash involving four individuals, including a child, occurred on Oct. 26 on Interstate 280 in San Jose. The incident occurred when the driver of a Chevy pickup failed to navigate a turn for the I-280 interchange, causing the truck to launch off a grass embankment and land in front of oncoming traffic. A Honda carrying a man, woman, and child collided with the truck, which had hit the freeway center divider, scattering debris across both traffic directions. Fortunately, no other vehicles were directly involved. The pickup's driver, a 40-year-old man from San Jose, sustained moderate injuries and was found to be driving under the influence at the time. The woman in the Honda suffered minor injuries, while no other injuries were reported. The pickup driver was hospitalized for his injuries and subsequently arrested for DUI.
