Video captures intense crash during street race on 110 Freeway in South Los Angeles.
Early Sunday morning, two individuals suspected of engaging in street racing caused a dramatic crash on the 110 Freeway in South Los Angeles. The incident, captured in a video, occurred around 2:30 a.m. near Florence Avenue, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The situation involved two collisions and is currently under investigation for a hit-and-run. Footage, acquired by KTLA, shows a white and a black sedan dangerously weaving through traffic, seemingly racing while recklessly maneuvering around other vehicles. The video begins with the white sedan in the lead, closely followed by the black sedan. When the white car swerves around another driver, the black car tries to do the same but ends up causing a destructive collision. This initial impact sets off a chain reaction, sending multiple vehicles across lanes and exits. Emergency crews swiftly responded to the scene, closing down all northbound lanes for evaluation. Despite the chaos, no injuries were reported. The fate of possible arrests remains unclear, although news sources mentioned that the black sedan and three other heavily damaged vehicles were towed, while the white sedan suspected of participation reportedly fled without stopping. Luis Zuniga contributed to this narrative.
