Victim of Hit-and-Run Accident Identified
The person who was killed has been identified as Penny Bowling, 61 years old, from Holiday Island. Officers arrived at the scene following reports of a pedestrian being hit on Highway 187 near Nightingale Road at around 2:45 in the morning. The Carroll County Coroner confirmed Bowling's death at about 3:30 a.m. Authorities believe that the suspect vehicle is a white Chevrolet pickup truck of a recent model. Arkansas State Police Investigators are seeking the public's assistance in finding the vehicle and the person responsible.
