Vehicle lodged in tree after crash on southbound I-35 near Guthrie: Person transported to hospital
Authorities reported that an individual had to be airlifted to a hospital after an accident led to a vehicle becoming lodged in a tree along southbound Interstate 35 north of Guthrie. The incident occurred near Midwest Boulevard. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Guthrie Fire Department temporarily closed southbound I-35, but traffic has now resumed. A medical helicopter was seen departing from the accident site, and while it is confirmed that a person was being flown to a hospital, their condition remains unknown. The car has been extracted from the tree by a tow truck, and during the closure of the highway, traffic was backed up for 2-3 miles.
