Vehicle in Chesterfield collision had soil testing gear with minor radioactive material
A vehicle carrying soil testing equipment containing a small amount of radioactive material was involved in a crash in Chesterfield County, Virginia on Friday morning. Chesterfield County Fire and EMS's Hazmat Team responded to the scene on Hull Street Road near Fox Club Parkway. The equipment was safely contained in undamaged containers, and there is no risk to the community. The immediate area was isolated while the Hazmat Team assessed the equipment. As of 11:13 a.m., all lanes on Hull Street Road are open and the scene has been cleared.
