The incident was reported around 2:21 p.m., with a vehicle towing a trailer fully engulfed in flames. It is unclear if the trailer was also on fire. Traffic on Northbound Highway 101 was completely shut down, with the No. 1 lane reopening by 2:36 p.m. and the No. 2 lane by 3:30 p.m. Caltrans cameras showed that southbound traffic was moving slowly in the vicinity of the accident.
