
Vehicle crashes into train, rams into King Taco in East LA
During a Friday morning incident in East Los Angeles, a car collided with a train and then crashed into a King Taco restaurant, resulting in at least one person being hospitalized. The car reportedly made a left turn in front of a Metro E Line train on Ford Boulevard at around 9:50 a.m. Thankfully, no train passengers were harmed. The driver of the vehicle was taken to a local hospital, and Metro sent well wishes for a swift recovery. Emergency responders arrived at the scene at Ford Boulevard and East 3rd Street shortly before 10 a.m. A news team from KTLA, including Mike Case, observed the aftermath, where it appeared the Metro train collided with a black SUV, pushing it through barriers and into the restaurant, causing damage to the King Taco sign. Despite the shocking scene, no immediate details about the driver's condition were available. Aerial footage showed the extent of the damage, with the SUV, the fallen sign, and the halted train visible. Metro advised of delays and implemented single-tracking for E Line trains while the investigation unfolded, providing updates at alerts.metro.net.
