
Vehicle crash in Preston County shuts down road, leads to 1 person transported to hospital
A vehicle accident in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia resulted in downed power lines and one individual being taken from the scene for medical care. The incident took place around 1 a.m. on Sunday on Hazelton Road near the Hazelton Church, as reported by the Bruceton Brandonville Volunteer Fire Department on Facebook. Several agencies, including the Preston County Sheriff's Office, KAMP Ambulance, and a towing company, were involved in the response. The patient was transferred by ambulance for additional treatment. Images provided by the fire department exhibit the aftermath, including a broken power line pole. As a safety precaution, the section of Maryland Line Road to Tristar Lane was shut down to facilitate the clearing of the lines and repair the pole. A representative from Preston County 911 informed 12 News that the road has now been reopened.
