Vehicle collision shuts down road in Preston County
KINGWOOD, W.Va. (WBOY) — A vehicle accident in Preston County has shut down a road that will likely remain closed for several hours. According to a Facebook post from the Preston County Office of Emergency Management, crews responded to South Preston Highway, near the top of Oak Hills, for a reported "motor vehicle collision." The road is currently closed and "will be closed for several hours" The Facebook Post states. Traffic is being detoured via Old Tunnelton Pike and Snyder Loop Road at this time. They are asking people to avoid the area if possible. The Preston County 911 Center confirmed to 12 News in a phone call that HealthNet was launched and that at least two were transported from the scene. They also stated that troopers with the West Virginia State Police are currently handling the incident.
