Vehicle collides with South Portland store, lands in entrance
Friday afternoon in South Portland, a driver experienced a medical issue and crashed into Massage Envy on Gorham Road, eventually coming to a stop in the store's lobby next to Panera Bread. The Total Coverage company saw a black sedan being towed away following the incident. Although the driver was taken to the hospital for evaluation, no injuries were reported. Fortunately, no one inside the store was harmed, and all employees were able to safely exit through a back fire exit. South Portland Deputy Fire Chief Brian Smart mentioned that store management was addressing the situation, securing the building for the night until the extent of the damage could be assessed. Damage to the front of the store appeared to be significant.
