Vehicle collides with fireworks stand close to Festus Walmart; 5 people hurt
Five people were taken to the hospital after a car accident in Festus led to a vehicle crashing into a fireworks tent. The incident occurred in the Walmart Supercenter parking lot on South Truman Boulevard. Reports indicate that an 84-year-old man accidentally hit the gas pedal, causing the car to reverse into the tent and injure those inside. Among the victims, a 41-year-old man and his six-year-old son were trapped under the car. The man is in critical condition, while his wife and son sustained moderate injuries. The other two adult victims are also in moderate condition. The identities of those involved have not been disclosed, and no charges have been filed yet.
