VBPD: Information disclosed about deadly accident on Indian River Road
Virginia Beach police have provided new details about a fatal accident that occurred on Indian River Road, involving two vehicles. Claire Hurt, aged 50, tragically lost her life in the crash. It was revealed that she drifted out of her lane and collided with another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. Upon further investigation, it was determined that drug impairment, specifically the presence of THC, was a contributing factor to the accident. Virginia Beach Police Chief Paul W. Neudigate emphasized the risks of drug use while driving, even in small amounts, as it can impair cognitive and motor abilities.
