US-1 closed in Titusville after fatal car and e-bike collision, per FHP

A tragic incident took place on Friday night in Titusville, as a 71-year-old man riding an electric bicycle lost his life in a collision with a car on US-1. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred at around 8:17 p.m. on US-1 near Kings Highway in Brevard County. A 2016 Honda Accord and the electric bicycle were involved in the fatal accident. The driver of the Honda, a 36-year-old man from Titusville, was unharmed and cooperated with authorities. The bicyclist died at the scene. Currently, the southbound lanes of US-1 are blocked as the investigation into the cause of the collision continues.
