Upgraded charges for Manchester man in fatal crash involving baby
A man facing charges in a tragic crash that resulted in the death of an 11-month-old in Manchester has been indicted with new charges, including negligent homicide and manslaughter. Justin LaClair, 24, was indicted on multiple charges, including negligent homicide, manslaughter, first-degree assault, aggravated driving while intoxicated, conduct after an accident, and several counts of reckless conduct. The incident occurred when LaClair struck the baby and her family with his vehicle on Belmont Street before colliding with a pole on June 12. The baby passed away a few days later at a Boston hospital, prompting a vigil at the crash site. LaClair, who was denied bail and remains in custody, is set to be arraigned on the fresh charges on October 20.
