UPDATE: Pekin roadways back in service following fatal accident
A tragic accident occurred in Pekin, Ill., resulting in the death of a Tazewell County child. The Illinois State Police responded to a multi-vehicle collision involving an SUV, pick-up truck, and motorhome at the intersections of Illinois Route 9 and 14th Street on Saturday morning. Sadly, a person in the SUV lost their life in the crash. The Pekin Police Department announced road closures in the area, which have since been reopened as of the evening.
