Update on fatal motorcycle crash on Watervliet Avenue by Dayton Police

In Dayton, Ohio, a tragic accident took place on Saturday involving a motorcyclist who lost his life. Police blame the incident on a driver with a suspended license who was allegedly distracted at the time of the crash. Dayton Police Sgt. Gordon Cairns stated during a press briefing on Monday, May 12, that the driver did not have a valid license and should not have been driving. The case will be presented to the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office, and the suspended license could elevate the charges to a felony. According to the initial investigation, the driver dropped his phone while driving, leading to the vehicle crossing into oncoming traffic and resulting in the fatal collision with the motorcyclist, Arthur Peters, 46. Peters, who was not wearing a helmet, tragically passed away from his injuries.
