A bus accident occurred in Freeport, Illinois, which resulted in five individuals being taken to a local hospital. The victims, two adults and three children, were part of the Freeport YMCA's Camp Discovery group. They were all transported to FHN Memorial Hospital, with no information released yet regarding the extent of their injuries. The crash took place on South Rink Road in the morning between West Stephenson Road and Pearl City Road. Following the incident, FHN Memorial Hospital activated Code 100, typically used for disaster scenarios due to the high number of patients.
