UPDATE: 2 teens killed at Foley intersection known for deadly wrecks

UPDATE (12:35 p.m.): News 5 has learned more about a crash that killed two people in Foley. Two teenagers are dead after a collision last night in Foley at an intersection that has become notorious for deadly wrecks. It happened near the intersection of County Road 65 and Airport Road. Witnesses tell WKRG News 5 the two teens were traveling north on a scooter and were struck by a pickup truck from behind. The teens, ages 18 and 19, were killed instantly. Just over a year ago, 30-year-old Nycole Tate was killed by a hit-and-run driver at that same intersection. PREVIOUS REPORTING FOLEY, Ala. (WKRG) — Two teenagers on a scooter were killed after being hit by a pickup truck Sunday at the intersection of County Road 65 and Airport Road, according to the Foley police Department. Police have confirmed that both of those people have died. Few details are confirmed, other than the deaths. We're working to learn more. This story is developing.
