Unknown individuals save family from accident in Shelby Township

Over the weekend, a car accident occurred where a mother and her two children were trapped inside their vehicle after it flipped into a pond in Shelby Township. Fortunately, bystanders came to their rescue, and two of these individuals shared their experiences. You can watch Tiarra Braddock's report in the video below. When the incident took place, tire marks were still visible from where the car was retrieved. One bystander, Paul Sutton, described witnessing the accident and immediately springing into action to help the family out of the submerged car. Another bystander, Michael Tortomose, also assisted in the rescue. Sutton, who is a reserve deputy with the Macomb County Sheriff's Office ATV Unit, credited his training for aiding in the response to the emergency. Both Sutton and Tortomose expressed their intentions to stay connected and potentially develop a friendship following the incident.
