UK man accused of identity fraud charged in deadly New Jersey crash.

A man from the United Kingdom is facing serious legal charges in connection with a deadly accident that occurred in Woodbury. George Linard, 24, has been accused of second-degree Death by Auto and various other offenses, as per the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office. Originally known as Steve Hall, Linard's real identity came to light following the crash. He is also facing charges related to possessing a fake government license. The incident unfolded when West Deptford police officers were summoned to the PS Gas and Food Mart on reports of two intoxicated men. Linard, operating a white vehicle, attempted to escape but ended up colliding with another car, leading to one fatality and injuries to two individuals. Among the 24-year-old's charges are two counts of fourth-degree Assault by Auto. Linard was revealed to have an existing criminal case in Bergen County for unrelated matters. His upcoming court appearance is set for Monday, Nov. 17. A second-degree offense holds a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, while a fourth-degree charge carries a punishment of up to 18 months. The Attorney General's Office is set to conduct further investigations. The resolution of Linard's pending legal issues in Bergen County is uncertain.
