U-Miami linebacker faces charges for Largo accident with 3 fatalities

In a tragic incident earlier this year in Largo, Florida, University of Miami football player Adarius Hayes has been charged following a fatal crash that took the lives of three individuals, including two children. The crash involved a Kia Soul and resulted in the death of 10-year-old Jabari Elijah Solomon, 4-year-old Charlie Herbert Solomon Riveria, and 78-year-old Gail Price. Hayes, who was driving a Dodge Durango, was accused of driving at high speed and engaging in aggressive maneuvers before colliding with the Kia Soul as it made a lawful turn. An investigation revealed that Hayes was traveling at 70 mph five seconds before the crash and had accelerated to 78 mph in a 40 mph zone at the time of impact. This reckless driving led to the ejection of the two children from the Kia, who were unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene. Following the investigation, Hayes was charged with three counts of vehicular homicide and one count of reckless driving with serious bodily injury. He turned himself in on August 29 after an arrest warrant was issued and is now in custody with a bond set at $350,000.
