
Two Vehicle Accident at Clay and Berryman
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Two vehicles, including a city Gas Department truck, have collided at the rain-soaked intersection of Clay and Berryman in Vicksburg. At approximately 6:45 p.m., a city Gas Department truck and a civilian vehicle crashed at the rain-soaked intersection of Clay and Berryman in front of Pizza Inn in Vicksburg. The city truck appears westbound on Clay when it impacted the gray truck at the intersection. It is unclear at this time what caused the accident. A photo of the accident does not show rain on the roadway, and it is unknown if rain was a factor. Two people are injured in the accident, but their injuries are not life-threatening. One of the victims has visible injuries to their forehead. Two fire medic units, the Vicksburg Police, and the Vicksburg Fire Department are at the scene working the accident. Wreckers are en route and should have the roadway fully reopened within an hour. If you drive through the area, please do so slowly and allow first responders plenty of room to safely attend to the injured parties.
