Two teens killed in crash on Highway 552 in Jefferson County
On Friday, Feb. 28, 2026, at approximately 8:52 a.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a fatal single-vehicle crash on Highway 552 West in Jefferson County. A 2018 Nissan Altima, driven by 18-year-old Kamarion J. Hyder of Port Gibson, was traveling east on Highway 552 West when it left the roadway and struck a tree. A passenger, 19-year-old Dyamond Dee of Natchez, was also in the vehicle.Both Hyder and Dee sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the crash and has released no further details at this time.
