Two siblings accused of drag racing in accident that resulted in the deaths of three students from E.E. Smith High School

Two sisters have been arrested in connection with a tragic car collision that resulted in the deaths of three E.E. Smith High School students in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The incident occurred on October 8 on Rosehill Road, where a 2024 Honda Civic driven by 21-year-old Dymond Monroe veered off the road and crashed into a tree, causing fatal injuries to passengers Jai’Hyon Lamont Elliot, Trevor Merritt, and Nicholas Williams, who were all students at the school. Monroe, who sustained serious injuries and is currently hospitalized, has been charged with multiple offenses, including three counts of involuntary manslaughter. Another sister, Destini Rhinada Genwright, who was driving a separate car on the same road at the time of the crash, has also been charged with various driving violations. Police are urging Genwright to surrender herself to authorities, and her vehicle has been confiscated by law enforcement.
