Two seriously hurt after being ejected from motorcycle in Independence crash
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Two people are hurt after a motorcycle crash in Independence on Saturday afternoon, police say. Around 4:15 p.m., officers with the Independence Police Department (IPD) were sent to southbound Noland Road near 45th Street on a reported two-vehicle crash. IPD says the investigation shows that a Kawasaki motorcycle was speeding and weaving through traffic when it hit the driver's side of a Chevrolet Tahoe as it was making a left turn onto Noland Road from a driveway. Two people were ejected from the motorcycle, and while they were wearing helmets, both sustained serious injuries, IPD says. The driver of the Tahoe is uninjured. This is a developing story; FOX4 will provide updates as they're made available.
