Two separate accidents on US-15 in Frederick result in one fatality and multiple injuries

A pair of significant accidents took place within an hour of each other on US-15 in Frederick County on Wednesday morning. The first occurred at around 7am at the intersection of Biggs Ford Road, involving three vehicles and resulting in two individuals initially being trapped. Eight people were hospitalized as a result of this crash, with their current condition remaining unknown. About an hour later, another collision involving three cars occurred just south of the initial crash site, at Hansonville Road. According to Maryland State Police, a 93-year-old driver was attempting to cross to the southbound side of US-15 when his Nissan Versa was hit by a Toyota Camry, causing the Nissan to collide with a telephone pole, resulting in the driver's death. The 22-year-old Toyota driver was transported to the hospital by ambulance, while a Honda Pilot was hit by debris but the driver did not sustain any injuries. Both accidents caused significant disruptions.
