
Two sent to hospital after three-car crash in Norfolk
NORFOLK, Neb. (KCAU) — Two people were sent to the hospital following a three-car crash that happened in Norfolk. The Madison County Sheriff's Office responded to the accident on Tuesday. According to the Sheriff's Office, the crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 35 and Benjamin Avenue. According to the initial investigation and eyewitness statements, everyone involved was from Norfolk. Allegedly, Cutter Anderson, 25, was heading north on Highway 35 at 60 mph as the other two cars involved in the crash were about to turn east at the intersection. The release stated that Anderson hit a vehicle driven by a 35-year-old man. The impact of the crash then pushed the car forward, causing it to hit a third vehicle driven by a 44-year-old man. Anderson's vehicle and the vehicle he hit were totaled in the accident. The third vehicle received minor damage to the rear bumper. As a result of the crash, Anderson's vehicle had caught on fire and had to be put out by two Nebraska State Troopers. Anderson was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of marijuana, less than an ounce. The accident is still under investigation by the Sheriff's Office.
